The conference venue was very cool, the small and quaint village of Urbar near St. Goar on the Rhine River in Germany near the famous Loreley section. The guest house, Beckmann's Winzerhouse, that hosted the conference was the town pub and social center. It was fun to see a lot of the locals as well as the conference attendees. I can only imagine what they thought of a bunch of crazy music teachers. Roger Emerson was the keynote speaker and featured presenter. It was a pleasure getting to know him, hear his stories and have him lead us in choral reading sessions.
The conference attendees were very interested in everything that we had to present to them. They contributed to the sessions and made it very intimate and a lot of fun. My thanks the EMEA leadership for inviting me to participate. I congratulate for all of the EMEA members for their dedication to music education in Europe at the Department of Defense schools and many international schools.
I hope that I can get back some time in the future!
